Bill Malloy III, Accomplished Entrepreneur and Investor

Based in San Diego, CA, Bill Malloy III is a technology-focused entrepreneur who has devoted his career to building and investing in a number of innovative companies. In addition to these endeavors, he leads Malloy and Company, an organization that is dedicated to fostering positive change in the community and the natural world with an emphasis on sustainability. Bill Malloy is also a co-founder of the PEERS Network, which for more than a decade has brought business leaders together to promote philanthropic goals. His own current philanthropic interests center on addressing the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.

Bill Malloy earned his master of business administration from the University of Southern California after completing his undergraduate studies in engineering at Clemson University. His early venture capital experience included work with DFJ – Zone Ventures, where he provided expertise in strategy, financial structuring, investment due diligence, and operational best practices to emerging companies. His career trajectory has also included a focus on new investment opportunities bridging Silicon Valley, Southern California, New York and Europe.

In 2013, Bill Malloy co-founded Sway Ventures. The venture capital firm provided him with the opportunity to assist with the build-out of technology companies that showed exceptional promise in terms of both innovation and that were in the early or mid-stage of their development. Bill Malloy and his team at Sway Ventures provided depth and breadth of experience in strategic capitalization with an emphasis on successful engineered exits. Due to Sway Ventures’ reach, he was also able to expand the business ecosystem connecting the United States with tech industries in Europe and the United Kingdom

Bill Malloy’s other successful tech-focused endeavors include NEX3, which he co-founded as a focal point for providing startups with pioneering, big-impact technologies. He has also held board positions with a wide range of other tech companies, including Fetch Robotics, Affinity, and the consumer finance break out Tally.
